Jake Gyllenhaal's Apple TV+ miniseries Presumed Innocent tops high
Jake Gyllenhaal's upcoming legal thriller Presumed Innocent is among the marquee television offerings premiering at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival.
The Apple TV+ miniseries, which premieres on the streaming service on June 14, will be unveiled shortly beforehand at the festival, which runs from June 5–16.
Gyllenhaal, who was previously seen filming the show around Los Angeles last year, stars as a prosector who falls under suspicion after a colleague he was having an affair with is raped and murdered.
The series is adapted from the 1987 novel of the same name by Scott Turow, which was also the basis of the 1990 film Presumed Innocent, starring Harrison Ford in the lead role and directed and co-written by Alan J. Pakula.
Although Tribeca is primarily geared toward unveiling new films, it has several other television offerings this year, including the ESPN documentary In the Arena: Serena Williams, which features the retired tennis superstar recounting the biggest wins of her career.
